Why your X-rays stopped talking to Dentrix
If your practice runs Dexis 11 + Dentrix, you might have recently noticed Dexis Integrator stopped working.
Dentrix retired the classic Dexis integrator
Henry Schein One moved all imaging integration to Smart Image. The old direct Dexis bridge is no longer supported.
Smart Image only supports Dexis 9 & 10
Dentrix’s own documentation states the Smart Image DEXIS connector works with Dexis 9 and 10 and is not compatible with Dexis 11. Practices on 11 lose integrated imaging.
Dexis’s answer: re-tool imaging workflow
The official path is migrating to DTX Studio Clinic which means, new software, new licensing, staff retraining, and a conversion project of its own.
The alternative: roll back to Dexis 10

Dexis 11 is never touched
The conversion uses a snapshot of your Dexis 11 database and makes copies of the files before converting their format. The original Dexis 11 system stays working and unmodified.
Every image is verified
Each converted image includes a Dexis 10 integrity hash. All images and database records are verified three different ways after conversion.
Auditable Results
At the end of the conversion, a detailed report is generated so you can be confident every image for every patient has been successfully converted.
